Via CSS-Tricks. Flexigrid is a lightweight but rich data grid with re-sizable columns and a scrolling data to match the headers, plus an ability to connect to an XML-based data source using Ajax to load the content. I’ve used the jQuery tablesorter plugin in the past but Flexigrid goes a little further with the Ajax functionality.

Via Mashable. Ping.fm is a status update tool that sends your updates to a handful of your favourite microblogging services. So far, Ping.fm supports Twitter, Facebook, Jaiku, Tumblr and Pownce. The concept is one that will catch on like wildfire in the coming months, and the options for submitting an update come in the form of email, IM, its Google gadget, and a desktop application. It’s in beta (goes without saying) so it’s a case of sitting tight or getting lucky with an invite at the moment.
