Blimey, well here you are - the new look website that almost works haha. Any inspiration as to why I can’t navigate between pages of the blog would be appreciated. I have some bits and pieces to finish off and adjust but don’t be afraid to tell me what’s wrong just in case I haven’t spotted them.

Will everyone stop talking about Web Directions North in February? Please? It’s bad enough that it sounds like a really cool conference but the added talk about the after-conference event of a few days snowboarding in Whistler - my personal snowboarding Mecca - is too much to keep hearing about!

Well I borked the RSS feed late last night but I think it’s back now - I needed to copy and paste the feedburner link to this default theme. My excuse was that it was 2am… The next problem I need coffee for - my new theme works except for showing the posts. I guess there’s some kind of tweakery needed because I want the posts to appear at /blog/ instead of from the root of the website? I have a local copy running on WAMP so I need to look over the settings sometime today.

I came across Dave Shea’s article “Taming The Browsers: CSS Hacks” on informit.com today. It was last updated 29 November, 6 days after I’d written about my own CSS framework that uses these same techniques. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not crying plagiarism - after all, the framework rests on the shoulders of giants already - but what a small world!
