I'm a member of the Guild of Accessible Web Designers and the Web Standards Group and team member at Accessites—an awards site to recognise accessible and usable websites.
I specialise as a front-end developer and worry about the minutae of semantic (X)HTML and CSS, accessibility, microformats, typographic rhythm and grid design. I also care about the user experience and remind myself constantly of visitor site goals when working with clients and their aims.

This time tomorrow, I’ll be sightseeing around London ahead of the @media 2006 conference. Once again excitement levels are high and I’m looking forward to meeting “old” friends - in some cases for the first time such is the nature of our business. Introductions will be along the lines of “Hi, I’m blogger / forum name” or “are you blogger / forum name?” - do say “hi” if you see me about!
Yeah, it’s always a bit odd when you’ve known someone for ages online, even to the extent that you’ve worked on stuff like Accessites together and then you’re suddenly going - oh, so that’s Karl… and that’s Blair. Wow. They’re actually real people as well…
